The federal government has appointed Director General ISI Major General Faisal Naseer, Sitara e Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha e Basalat, as the National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) for a three year term. The Establishment Division has issued a formal notification.
The timing of this appointment is significant. Pakistan continues to confront serious security challenges, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, making effective coordination between intelligence, security and law enforcement institutions increasingly important.
An Experienced Officer for a Critical National Role
Major General Faisal Naseer is a decorated and experienced Pakistan Army officer with a background in national security and counterterrorism.
