Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rises Against Extremism: Public Wall Chalking Sends Strong Message to Terrorists

The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are no longer silent. From Kohat Road to Bara, Khyber Agency and Peshawar, powerful wall chalking messages have appeared across public spaces, reflecting growing public anger against terrorism, extremism, and the ideology of Fitna al Khawarij.

Slogans such as “Curse upon Noor Wali Khwariji” and “Khawarij are the killers of religious scholars” are now visible in different areas, showing a clear shift in public sentiment. These writings are not random acts of graffiti. they are a loud and public declaration that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have rejected the violent ideology of terrorist groups.

For years, the people of KP and the tribal districts have suffered at the hands of terrorism. Mosques, schools, markets, police stations and security installations have repeatedly been targeted by militants. Thousands of innocent Pakistanis including civilians, ulema, police officers and security personnel have lost their lives in attacks carried out by extremist groups. According to official estimates, more than 94,000 Pakistanis have been martyred in the war against terrorism.

Today, the streets themselves are speaking.

The emergence of anti Khawarij wall chalking in sensitive areas like Bara and Khyber Agency sends a strong signal that terrorist groups are losing whatever sympathy or fear they once relied upon. The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa now openly identify these elements as enemies of peace, Islam and Pakistan.

This growing public reaction also reflects increasing awareness among ordinary citizens. The people understand that the agenda of extremist groups has brought nothing but bloodshed, instability and destruction to their homeland. In contrast, peace, stability and national unity are now being embraced as the only path forward for future generations.

Pakistan’s security forces, police and tribal communities have sacrificed immensely in the fight against terrorism. The latest public response from KP shows that the people stand firmly beside the state and its institutions against every force trying to destabilize the country.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has always been known for its courage, resilience and patriotism. Today, its people are once again sending a clear message. there is no space for terrorism, extremism or the ideology of Khawarij on this land.

The walls of Peshawar, Kohat Road and Bara are carrying one united message the people of Pakistan stand for peace, stability and a stronger Pakistan.
