Pakistan has rejected India’s portrayal of Operation Sindoor, saying a dramatic documentary cannot rewrite the facts of the battlefield.
Pakistan says India’s documentary relies on selected interviews, emotional narratives and Bollywood-style dramatization to present history in a way that suits its own narrative.
It has also questioned what it describes as contradictions in India’s claims. Pakistan argues that if India says those allegedly responsible for the Pahalgam incident were targeted on July 28, 2025, questions remain over whom India claimed to be punishing when Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7.
Pakistan has further rejected the claim of “100 percent mission success,” pointing to the military confrontation that followed, including what it describes as an effective response by its armed forces during the Battle of Truth and subsequent strikes on multiple military targets under Operation Bunyan al-Marsus.
According to Pakistan, the ceasefire was reached following direct contact between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries and an agreement to halt military action. Islamabad says describing the outcome as a unilateral Indian victory does not reflect that sequence of events.
Pakistan maintains that while history may be dramatized on the cinema screen, battlefield developments, casualties and the chronology of events cannot simply be changed.
Islamabad says it remains committed to peace and regional stability, while making clear that it will defend its sovereignty, security and national interests. Pakistan has warned that any future aggression will receive a decisive response.
