Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the nation on the successful completion of the first phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly elections and praised the peaceful conduct of the democratic process.
The Prime Minister also congratulated the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on securing what he described as a clear lead in the first phase of the elections.
He said the PML-N team, under the leadership of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, ran a successful election campaign across Azad Jammu and Kashmir, reflecting the party’s strong public support.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif noted that all major political parties actively participated in the first phase of the elections, calling it a positive sign of a healthy and vibrant democratic process.
He said the active participation of political parties demonstrates the strength of democracy and urged voters to take part in the remaining phases of the elections with the same enthusiasm to further reinforce the democratic process.
