The tragedy in Faizabad is not just another headline it is a devastating reminder of what happens when politics loses its humanity.
A father, already shattered by the death of his daughter due to roads being blocked during the CM KP Sohail Afridi led PTI protest, has now reportedly taken his own life by jumping off a bridge. One family destroyed. Two lives gone and for what? Political theatre? Power games? Street agitation packaged as “revolution”?
This is the dark side of disruptive politics that Pakistan has suffered for far too long.
Ordinary Pakistanis labourers, patients, students, fathers, and mothers are always the ones forced to pay the price when roads are shut down and cities are paralysed in the name of political pressure. The elite leadership delivers fiery speeches from containers and social media platforms, while common citizens remain trapped in ambulances, traffic jams, fear and grief.
No democratic protest gives anyone the moral right to hold an entire country hostage.
Pakistan today needs stability, responsibility, and national unity not chaos fuelled by ego driven politics. The state cannot function if every disagreement turns into road blockades, intimidation and public suffering. Nations progress through institutions, dialogue, and discipline, not through politics that pushes desperate people to the edge of hopelessness.
What happened in Faizabad is heartbreaking beyond words. A grieving father lost the will to live after losing his daughter in circumstances linked to political disruption. No slogan can justify that pain. No press conference can erase that tragedy.
Those who encourage such confrontational politics must ask themselves: how many innocent Pakistanis must suffer before enough is enough?
Pakistan deserves better than this cycle of agitation and emotional manipulation. The people of this country deserve peace, functioning roads, safety and leadership that puts human lives above political point scoring.
This is no longer politics. This is cruelty wrapped in slogans.
