London: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in London on Sunday ahead of his official visit to the United Kingdom, scheduled from 24 to 28 August 2026.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Tipu Usman, received the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister upon his arrival at London Heathrow Airport.
During his five-day visit, Ishaq Dar is expected to hold high-level meetings with UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband and FCDO Minister of State for Pakistan Stephen Doughty, along with other senior members of the British government.
The meetings are expected to provide an opportunity for Pakistan and the United Kingdom to discuss bilateral relations and areas of mutual interest, including political, economic, trade and regional cooperation.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will also meet Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to discuss matters relating to regional maritime security and maritime cooperation.
As part of his diplomatic engagements, Ishaq Dar is also scheduled to meet Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Secretary General of the Commonwealth, with discussions expected to focus on Commonwealth cooperation and issues of shared interest.
The visit comes as Pakistan continues to strengthen its diplomatic and strategic engagement with the United Kingdom and other international partners.
Further details of the meetings and outcomes are expected to be announced during the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister’s visit.
