Bisley, UK: Pakistan has delivered a historic performance at the 7th F Class World Championship being held at Bisley, UK, emerging as a dominant force in long-range shooting.
The championship, which began on August 12, has brought together 207 elite shooters from 24 countries. During the opening individual matches at 800, 900 and 1,000 yards, Pakistan’s 12-member contingent secured an impressive 4 Gold, 4 Silver and 5 Bronze medals, recording the highest FTR medal tally at the championship.
Leading Pakistan’s medal charge, Lt Col Junaid Ali won three Gold, one Silver and one Bronze medal. Sepoy Muhammad Waleed added one Gold and one Bronze, while Under 25 shooter Huzaifa Gill secured three Silver and two Bronze medals. Ahsan Gulrez also claimed a Bronze medal.
In another landmark achievement, Lt Col Junaid Ali was crowned Individual FTR World Champion, finishing ahead of the 207 strong field after demonstrating exceptional consistency across all three distances. His victory is being hailed as the biggest individual success in Pakistan’s international F-Class history.
Seven Pakistani shooters Junaid Ali, Muhammad Waleed, Obaid, Qasim, Huzaifa Gill, Junaid Waqas and Ahsan Gulrez also finished among the championship’s top 100 competitors, underlining the strength and depth of Pakistan’s emerging F-Class team.
The achievement follows Pakistan’s outstanding showing at the F-Class British Open 2026, also held at Bisley from August 3 to 8, where the Pakistani team won 7 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze medals.
The coveted 16-member World Championship Team Match is scheduled for August 15 and 16 across 800, 900 and 1,000 yards. Pakistan’s shooters will once again aim to deliver their best performance and keep the national flag flying high on the international stage.
Pakistan’s remarkable rise in F-Class shooting over just three years has firmly established the country as a force to be reckoned with in international long-range competition.
