A tragic school shooting in Thailand has left a nation in shock after a teenage student opened fire at a school in Bang Kruai District, on the outskirts of Bangkok.
According to police, the 14 year old suspect allegedly killed his grandparents at their home before arriving at the school armed with his grandfather’s weapon. The teenager was later killed during the incident.
Panic erupted at Debsirin Nonthaburi School as students fled their classrooms and took cover under desks while gunshots echoed through the building. Disturbing eyewitness footage showed terrified students hiding for safety as emergency teams rushed to the scene.
Authorities confirmed multiple casualties, including a teacher among those killed, while around 20 others were reported injured. Emergency responders described scenes of chaos, with bullet casings found scattered on the school staircase.
The incident has become one of Thailand’s deadliest mass killings since the 2022 tragedy that shocked the country.
