Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan was spotted on Friday at a high-level meeting at the Presidency alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
The presence of the Punjab Assembly Speaker alongside the country’s senior power brokers has inevitably raised questions: Why now, and what is being discussed behind closed doors?
