A rising British Pakistani boxing talent from Sindh, Karachi is making headlines after achieving a major milestone at just 18 years old.

Muhammad Shah Hussain, a student at Stanmore College who trains at Islington Boxing Club, won the 57kg division after battling through tough back to back contests with determination and skill.

The young boxer says his dream is to one day represent Team GB on the international stage. He added that his biggest motivation is to make his mother, family, college, boxing club and wider community proud.

Supporters are now calling on the Pakistani government, overseas business leaders and figures including Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to recognise and support talented young overseas Pakistanis who are excelling in sports and representing their communities with pride.

Community members say youngsters like Muhammad Shah Hussain deserve encouragement, sponsorship, and opportunities to help them achieve success at the highest level.
