London: Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Mr. Tipu Usman held an introductory meeting with representatives of Pakistani media houses working in London, in a move aimed at strengthening engagement with the Pakistani media.
During the meeting, the High Commissioner appreciated the positive and constructive role played by Pakistani media in the UK, particularly during Marka e Haq and acknowledged its contribution towards keeping the Pakistani diaspora informed about important national and community related developments.
Mr. Tipu Usman reiterated that the Pakistan High Commission in London remains committed to working closely with Pakistani media representatives to enhance outreach and effectively communicate government initiatives, policies and reforms designed to facilitate and support Pakistanis living across the United Kingdom.
The media representatives welcomed Mr. Tipu Usman on assuming his responsibilities as Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK and expressed their commitment to maintaining constructive engagement with the High Commission.
The interactive session also provided an opportunity for journalists to share various suggestions aimed at improving communication and outreach to the Pakistani diaspora, as well as addressing issues concerning the welfare and facilitation of the Pakistani community across the UK.
