Another tragic act of terrorism has once again plunged Pakistan into grief.

A powerful explosion near Chaman Phatak in Quetta targeted a Cantonment train close to the railway track, causing the train to derail and spreading panic across the area. According to initial police reports, the nature of the blast appears to be a suicide attack, while intense firing was also reported after the explosion.

Police and rescue officials confirmed that more than 30 people were injured, while at least 8 innocent Pakistanis lost their lives. The wounded and the bodies of the victims were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta as emergency services and security forces rushed to the scene.

From Quetta to every corner of Pakistan, the pain is shared by the entire nation.

These attacks are not just assaults on security forces or civilians. they are attacks on peace, humanity, and stability itself. The blood of innocent children, women and ordinary citizens cannot and must not be ignored by the world.

Pakistan once again looks toward the international community and the United Nations to take a clear and firm stand against terrorism in all its forms. Silence in the face of such brutality only encourages those who thrive on chaos and bloodshed.

The people of Quetta have strongly condemned this cowardly attack. Reports from the area describe burned homes, damaged vehicles and terrified families. Citizens travelling to reunite with loved ones ahead of Eid suddenly found themselves caught in horror and destruction.

Many in Pakistan are also raising serious concerns about hostile regional elements seeking to destabilize the country during a sensitive time. Social and political voices across the country believe that enemies of Pakistan cannot tolerate the country’s growing diplomatic and strategic importance, especially the increasing global attention on Pakistan’s regional role under Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

While investigations are ongoing, public anger and grief continue to grow. Pakistanis remain united in solidarity with the Pakistan Army, law enforcement agencies and the resilient people of Balochistan.
