LONDON: Two Afghan men who entered the United Kingdom illegally have been convicted of raping a woman at knifepoint during a first date in a London park.
Noorullah Ahmdzai and Khan Agah attacked the woman and her male companion in Barking Park. Prosecutors told the court that the men held a knife to the man’s throat while taking turns raping the woman.

The prosecution said the attackers treated the victim as “an object they could use and abuse.”
Ahmdzai arrived in the UK by small boat in 2023 and was subsequently accommodated in a taxpayer-funded hotel. His asylum claim was later rejected.
Khan Agah also entered the UK illegally. Both men have now been convicted and face lengthy prison sentences.
The case has renewed concerns over illegal migration, the asylum system and public safety, while sentencing is expected to determine the length of the men’s imprisonment.
