BEIJING: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has expressed China’s support for the historic Mecca Agreement between Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan, describing it as an important step toward stronger regional security and cooperation.
Wang Yi has also called for the development of a broader security charter between China and Islamic countries, signalling Beijing’s interest in deeper strategic and security cooperation with the Muslim world.
The development comes as the Mecca Agreement gains wider international attention, with Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye seeking to strengthen collective security and strategic coordination.
