Lahore: A dignified ceremony was held at the Governor’s House in Lahore to celebrate the 71st birthday of President Asif Ali Zardari.

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan cut a birthday cake alongside Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) workers, while special prayers were offered for the President’s long life, good health and continued success. Party workers also chanted slogans in support of President Zardari and the PPP leadership.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Saleem Haider praised President Zardari’s political leadership, saying his policy of reconciliation has ensured the continuity of democracy in Pakistan.

He described President Zardari as an exceptional personality and a seasoned statesman who has played a significant role in strengthening the country’s democratic system.
The Governor said the Pakistan Peoples Party has always made sacrifices for democracy and will continue to defend democratic values. He added that the party’s leadership and workers have endured immense hardships to safeguard democracy and uphold the Constitution.
He further stated that the PPP remains committed to strengthening democratic institutions and firmly believes in the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law.
Speaking about PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Governor Saleem Haider said he is a principled leader who stands by his convictions rather than simply saying “yes” to every demand.
